It’s a truly excellent product. It’s one of the best of its kind. For a reasonable price you can get six incredible robots that are super fun to code and play with. My younger brother absolutely loved them. The custom interface excellent. I highly recommended it. The replacement of all broken parts is really terrific. A servo motor broke early on and I was able to get a replacement it within a week. The videos are quite instructive and I’ve learned quite a bit about the hardware used in these robots.
That said, here are problems/some things I wish that they could integrate. You can’t easily download new libraries so many of the hardware hacks you can buy online are not usable. The Arduino is only able to be coded in C++ meaning that if you have a background in Java or python is a whole lot harder. The Arduino can only handle so many inputs. I mean that it can only handle about 12 different cables been connected to it so you might be able to get two or three hardware hacks at most. The course does not actually teach you how to code C++. I would have loved to learn C++ through these robots, however unfortunately, they just provide you with the robot so you either know how to code or you don’t. I think that this would’ve been an excellent robot to incorporate into a series of videos teaching C++. Some insulation is necessary in order to use the coding terminal. Although they have partially fix this issue by creating their own downloadable extension, it still is annoying to have…
